Please help the Blackstone Parks Conservancy complete a three-year project with the Natural Resources Conservation Service clearing brush from the park between Angell Street and River Road. (For Providence locals, it’s the woods south of the Narragansett Boat Club, beside Hockey Pond and next to Paterson playground.) All are welcome — whether you like to dig, prune, lop off tree limbs, or just document the day by taking photographs. Bring friends and family!

Afterwards, enjoy brunch at the home of Allison Spadone, DC ’90, at 76 Lincoln Avenue (between Blackstone Boulevard and Grotto Avenue). We will be joined by Sue AnderBois, SOM ’13, Providence City Councilor for Ward 3, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and past Northeast Director of Climate & Energy for The Nature Conservancy and RI Director of Climate & Government Relations. She’ll give an update on the RI environment — its opportunities and challenges.

BPC will provide necessary tools. Participants should wear/bring gloves, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and possibly long sleeves.

Yale Day of Service is a program of the Yale Alumni Association with projects around the world. May 9 is the designated date for 2026, but projects may occur throughout the year, and regional clubs may run multiple projects. Your ideas are welcome.

Special thanks to former YARI president and current board member Allison Spadone for developing this program and hosting brunch!
